The youngest volcano in the world serves as the backdrop for this annual race that takes place in the mountains of Michoacán, just outside of Uruapan, in the skirts of the “Paricutín”.
Bikers from all over the country gather together and share a day of sportsmanship and fun biking in the forrest and volcanic dunes around the volcano in a 45 km ride that promotes respect and interaction with nature, family, friendship, and sportsmanship.
Founded and Sponsored by Chahena Avocados, this race has become a reference for the Enduro Biking community of Mexico, and we were commissioned with the task of telling the story of this one day event, it´s participants, and it´s impact on the world.
The race was covered by 3 “land cameras”, 2 drones and 2 Go Pros.
One of the land cameras was mounted on a Moza Air stabilizer, and the other 2 were Hand Held operated.
The 5 people camera crew rode on motorcycles, trucks and walked during the 6 hours that the race lasted, beginning before sunrise, and accompanying the competitors all the way thru the track, until sunset.
Rain, dust, and a lot of adrenaline were the main ingredients of this great experience!
A 45 km biking race at the skirts of the youngest volcano in the world.
The forrest and volcanic sand dunes and cold lava walls serve as the perfect back drop to this amazing yearly competition.
